DIY: Honey Face Masks

Hi there!

I've always had trouble with my skin acne wise and I've tried loads of products to make it go away. Recently I read that honey is great for treating acne, so I looked up some do-it-yourself honey face masks, and these have done their job pretty good!

Honey and cinnamon:

  • 3 teaspoons of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Mix the two and make sure there are no clumps, then apply the mixture to the face and leave it on for about 10-30 minutes. Then rinse it off with water and you're good to go!

Honey, avocado and plain milk yoghurt:

  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of mashed avocado
  • 1 teaspoon of plain (whole) milk yoghurt
Mix the ingredients and spread the mixture over your face. Leave it on for 10-20 minutes and wash it off with water. This mask is good if your skin is dry, since the fats in the yoghurt and the avocado moisturize the skin.

Honey and lemon juice:

  • 2 teaspoons of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
This mask is good agains dark spots and scars. Combine the two and leave it on your face for 20-30 minutes, then rinse it off. It may take you a few times to see a difference.

Honey and a crushed aspirin:

  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 crushed aspirin mixed with a tablespoon of water
Mix well. Before applying the mask, steam your pores open, then apply the mixture to your face. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes. This mask is good for really bad acne. Don't use this mask more than once a week. Also don't use this mask if you're allergic to aspirin!

Do you make your own face masks?

Have a nice day! <3
